Synopsis[]
The Mafia finding the bodies of five more Troupe members
Kurapika is left stunned when he sees Chrollo's mangled corpse up against a piece of rubble. One Mafia member asks where Bean is as several others stand around Chrollo's body. Grabbing Chrollo by the hair, one is surprised that he is the Phantom Troupe's leader and another says that he's just a punk. The others tell them not to cause any more damage to his face since they plan to put a picture of him on the Internet. After the bodies of Shalnark, Shizuku, Feitan, and Machi are found together, they also find the body of Franklin slumped against a wall. One member tells the others to use dental records, DNA, and fingerprints to find out the identities of all six and then to kill all their friends and loved ones to serve as a warning.
After Kurapika hurries back to the auction, the announcer introduces the last item: a set of Scarlet Eyes. Pakunoda wheels the item onto the stage, and the announcer says that there are only 36 pairs in existence after the Kurta Clan was wiped out. As he praises their exceptional color and starts the bidding at 
100 million, Kurapika calls Light to inform him about the Troupe leader's death and the auction, asking if he should bid on the eyes. Light adamantly tells him to win them, and Kurapika asks if he has a bidding limit, with Light replying that he doesn't care what he has to pay.
The bid rises to 310 million and then quickly to 371 million before Kurapika raises it to 500 million. However, Zenji suddenly appears and raises it to 1 billion, leaving Kurapika and the crowd stunned. After some time passes, Light learns that Kurapika had to raise the bid to 2.9 billion to beat out Zenji. Light curses him internally, but assures himself that the money will go back to the community and only increase his prestige. As he praises Kurapika, he tells himself that it's an investment since he will easily make the money back with Neon's fortunes. He looks at his sleeping daughter and says that he only needs to keep her in a good mood to have all the money and power he wants.

The announcer confirms that Kurapika is from the Nostrade Family, and Phinks and Pakunoda prepare the eyes in a box for him as Hisoka snickers in disguise. After Kurapika goes to a bathroom to take out his contact lenses and wash his face, he carries the eyes to the hospital and suddenly runs into Zenji holding a gun. Zenji asks him if he thought he could get away from him, pointing the gun at him and threatening to shoot if he doesn't stop. With his aura swelling around him and his eyes turning scarlet, Kurapika warns him that if he doesn't move aside, he could become his new target. Zenji begins to sweat and is left frozen with fear, asking himself how Kurapika could frighten him so much. After Kurapika calmly walks by him, Zenji catches his breath and is left dumbstruck as he wonders who he is.
Gon and Killua return to their hotel room to find Leorio and Zepile laughing and drinking together. Killua asks if the two of them have been sitting around while they were captured. Leorio is surprised that it's already night, and Zepile tells them to have a drink. Killua tells Leorio that he thought he was a minor, and Leorio replies that the drinking age is 16 in his country, adding that he started when he was only 12. He says that he's glad they made it back alive, and Zepile asks about how dangerous the Troupe is. Gon happily tells him that the doctoring methods he taught them were helpful, and Zepile adds that experience allows people to learn about their blind spots, also guessing that forgery would be useful against the Troupe.

Leorio says that Zepile also taught him about forgery, then asking Gon and Killua if they plan to go to the auction tomorrow. The two reply that while they would like to go, they need to meet up with Kurapika so he can teach them more about Nen. Leorio points out that Kurapika himself just learned Nen recently as well, but Gon reveals that he already killed one of Troupe members. Leorio can't believe it, and Killua guesses that there's more to Nen than just experience and power.
At the hospital, Neon receives the Scarlet Eyes and happily thanks her father. He asks if she forgives him for lying about the auction, and she replies that she does. Light leaves the room and tells the bodyguards that they will return to the hotel since Neon is fine. He also says that they just need to win the celebrity tissues at the auction tomorrow and that while he will be leaving the day after tomorrow, Neon can stay behind to shop more, with both Melody and Basho remembering how draining it is to look after her. Melody assures Kurapika that he can rest while they deal with the auction and Neon's shopping. After Kurapika thanks her and walks away, Basho asks Melody if he's okay.

Gon's phone rings, and Kurapika tells him that they don't need to help him stop the Troupe anymore since its members are dead. He hangs up before Gon can say anything in reply, and Killua can't believe it when Gon tells him what Kurapika said. At the Troupe's hideout, Hisoka tries to call Kurapika but is unable to get through, guessing that he turned off his phone. As he says that he was going to cheer him up, the Troupe members are seen drinking and celebrating with the stolen auction items behind them.
