The auction starts, meanwhile Kurapika wakes up and immediately thinks about the auction and Neon, but Melody informs him that the auction was cancelled due to the previous events involving the Phantom Troupe and decided that the item will be sold in a Mafia Community Site. To where Kurapika won't believe that Neon will give up knowing how persistent she was. Melody also mentions the death of Squala and his girlfriend's situation, the Scarlet Eyes they have won being stolen and urges Kurapika to rest more. At the auction the item called Greed Island is up for auction and shows it contents and feats. In the screen a professional hunter named Jeitsari who is also a player of Greed Island owns a 5 copies of the said game he also states that if ever no one will beat the game at the date mentioned he will donate all his copies.
The auction acquired 7 copies and tells the bidders that 2 of them displayed Game Over and found that 2 player's corpses were found besides the game. As the bidding begins an intense battle between Milluki and a tycoon named Battera as the price gets high and Gon accidentally bids though Battera keeps on bidding on the item and eventually won the item. After the events Battera along w/ his bodyguards is are approached by Gon and Killua as the two gone into a conclusion that Battera is obsessed with the game and will also hires players to play the game. Gon insists about being hired by him, but eventually gets rejected even though he tells them that he is a hunter since he doesn't have his licensed to show them but Battera is convince that they are not an ordinary children since they have managed to go inside the auction.
Battera admits that he is hiring professional hunters to play the game however after explaining the situation he rejects Gon and Killua offer. To where Gon mentions the saved data he acquired from his dad much to Battera's concern he tells that once a game started an energy surrounds the console and turning it off or removing the memory card is impossible but a certain item is needed to remove it. Gon and Killua mention the Ring to where Battera is convince that the two can be qualify to take the part in the test. Momentarily Gon and Killua were asked by a guy named Tsezguerra to showoff their Ren and immediately the two use their Ren. However Tsezguerra isn't much impress and told them if they played they will both get killed.
