Using an Accompany card, Jispa transports the new recruits near their base. Upon arriving they meet Kosofftro, and he welcomes them. Kosofftro tells them that they should remember his name if they want to go to their base. The new members will get briefed and will immediately fly to another place to collect cards. Their next destination is Masadora, the only city where they can buy spell cards, and higher rank cards are harder to get.
The new members find out that they can learn how many players own a certain card by using the List spell card. Jispa then tells them that their group has managed to put together the complete collection of 40 spells. After a brief tutorial the group finally made it to their base in Ajito and once they get inside the explanation of spells begins. Spells consist of Short and Long range spells and the players get to learn about the distance of the spells and how it works specifically in battling an opponent. A list of spells was given to the new members for them to memorized in an hour. Studying tells that Defensive spells are more numerous and more easily acquired than the Attack spells. However, Puhat notes that even the most effective Defensive spells are still somewhat vulnerable to attacks.
While in the middle of learning all the spells a senior group member tells them that those who haven't memorized all the spells in an hour will play a lesser role for the group, adding that the most important card they need to acquire right now is a card named Prison, a spell that can protect 9 imposed cards in one binder of a page. Abengane and Puhat manage to finish memorizing the list of spells given to them and immediately gets a test from a senior member by asking them on what are all the names of the defensive spells the group wants to monopolize plus giving the total limit numbers of those spells.
Abengane quickly answers and passes, while Puhat requests a more difficult question but answers incorrectly. Meanwhile Gon and Killua meet up with each other in the finals of the Jakenpon competition and eventually Killua beats Gon, which earns them their first Imposed Slot Card the Sword of Truth.
