Gon shows Killua how much he had progressed while he was away. He was now able to emit a small amount of Nen and transform his aura into a a pair of scissors sharp enough to cut a small sapling. While Gon continued trying out his techniques, Biscuit asks Killua about his. He shows Biscuit an object, saying that it would compliment his electricity and he could use it as a weapon. He also states that he was working on other techniques as well.
Biscuit takes Gon and Killua to a humongous tree, in which the King Great White Beetle was said to live. And the only way to catch it was to shake the tree. Gon steps up, accepting the challenge. He is able to shake the giant tree by hitting it with a Jajanken: Rock. The group is able to obtain three cards, surprising the game character who worked there. Gon surprises him even more by saying that he held back with his attack as he feared it would damage the tree if he didn't do so.
The group decides to obtain another A-rank card, the Gold Dust Girl, next. The caretaker of the mansion in which the card was kept warned Gon and Biscuit about the traps that awaited them. But even as he was explaining, Killua appears. He had already found the girl with much ease. Thus, the group gains another card.
The next day, Killua and Gon take part in a tournament that takes place every month in Antokiba. The duo wins the tournament and win the card, Paladin's Necklace. This card allowed the user to bring forth a Paladin's Necklace. And while wearing this necklace, it protects the user from spells cast upon them. It also had the ability to undo curses placed on other cards, thus reverting the cards to their original form.
Although, Biscuit is initially skeptical about the advantage of the card, Killua washes her cautions away by stating that as it was a D ranked card, they could use it as many times as they wanted by using Compromise or Corruption. The group then goes to Dorias to gamble, and are able to collect many cards with ease.
