Face-Off: Part 2 (
Synopsis[]
The pirate boxer makes sure that Montreux knows the rules of boxing, and Razor adds that there are special rules, saying that conjured objects are allowed. Some members of the group worry about guns being used, but the pirate boxer assures them that he will fight with his fists, with the rule being in place more so to help the challengers. After the pirate boxer makes sure that Montreux still wants to fight, Razor explains that each round will be three minutes, with the match continuing until someone is knocked out.
The bell rings, and Montreux says that he knows why the pirate picked boxing, then throwing a single punch that shoots a ball of Nen past the pirate's cheek. He guesses that the pirate is also an Emitter and that the ring is the perfect arena for them, but confidently adds that he is better, throwing a flurry of punches that strike the pirate and send him to the canvas. The group members begin to rejoice over the easy win, but as Gon and Killua say that it's a draw, Montreux suddenly looks injured and falls down as well, leaving the group in disbelief. Razor begins the count and the pirate boxer rises to his feet and is fine to keep fighting. Montreux doesn't regain consciousness before the ten-count, and Razor declares the pirate boxer to be the winner.
Killua explaining how the pirate boxer beat Montreux
Kazsule asks Killua to explain what happened, and as Killua thinks to himself that the group members are hopeless, he says that the pirate used teleportation to throw a short uppercut right below Montreux's chin. The pirate boxer is surprised that someone figured out his attack, and Killua adds that Montreux's jabs were weak in comparison to the pirate's counterpunch, which was both sudden and powerful. As the next pirate steps up and says that his sport is soccer juggling, Killua whispers something to Gon and Biscuit, who agree that that's a smart decision. Biscuit volunteers to challenge him, and the pirate says that he will have to be careful not to harm a girl. He tosses her a ball and says that whoever juggles their ball the longest wins, explaining that Nen attacks are allowed. He adds that the ball cannot be touched with their hands and that the entire room is the arena. After he mentions that the ball can't hit their allies either, the two begin the match, but Biscuit's ball hits the floor after a single bounce and she playfully says that it was more difficult than she thought.
Killua volunteers to go next and asks Bopobo if he's ready. Bopobo is eager to start the sumo match, and Killua asks if the rules are the same, with Bopobo explaining that weapons and Nen are allowed and the match is over when a part of someone's body touches outside the ring. He tells Killua to take off his shoes and adds that one of their bodies must touch outside the ring, which will allow him to slam Killua around as many times as he wants. As Bopobo continues to explain the rules, Razor realizes what the group's plan is.
After some time, the pirates reach eight points and win the contest, ordering the group to leave as Bopobo yells at Killua for losing on purpose. Killua smiles and says that he will be back. Speaking to himself, Razor commends their strategy of losing on purpose to gather as much information as possible, knowing that they will be back with more powerful allies. Outside the lighthouse, Kazsule says that they can't retry the quest with the same party members, but it's not a big problem since only one person needs to be different. However, Asta speaks up and says that her team is dropping out, explaining that there is no way the Bombers will be able to get a team of 15 players together to complete the quest. She tells the other players to stay away as well and says that the Bombers will only come after them if they get the card.
Goreinu staying behind with Gon, Killua, and Biscuit
The others seem to agree with her line of thinking and they all leave the lighthouse, but Goreinu remains with Gon, Killua, and Biscuit. He tells them that they need to look for stronger allies if they want to win, saying that it's actually better to obtain the card as soon as possible. Killua jumps in and says that it would lower the chances of infighting. Gon wonders what they mean, and Killua explains that they need a party of 15 to complete the quest, but the card's conversion limit is only three. He understands what Goreinu meant earlier when he said that the quest was cruel, and Goreinu says that they need at least four more people and preferably a single group of 11. Gon asks why, and Killua says that it would allow them to split the three cards among the three teams without any fighting.
