Three-Way Struggle: Part 4 (三つ巴の攻防 (4), Mitsu Domoe no Kōbō (4)) is the 173rd chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.

Summary

The Bomb Devils use an Accompany to reach Tsezguerra's group, who, to avoid confrontation, in turn use Accompany to Masadora. Genthru's group follows them. This cycle goes on until Tsezguerra has only 7 Accompanies. Genthru also stops chasing them. Rodriot wonders whether they had given up, to which Tsezguerra states that that was not the case and that they were just changing their speed in hopes of ambushing them. He then uses a Contact to speak to Goreinu and asks him how things were on his end. Goreinu replies that it was going as predicted. Both Sub and Bara were standing near the Spell Cards shop. They were thinking that one of Tsezguerra's group would use the opportunity to buy Spell Cards. He also states that the two people Genthru was with were fakes. At this, Rodriot suggests that they ambush Genthru as he was alone. Tsezguerra declines, stating that he was aiming for the maximum probability of success.

Back in the desert, Gon is still not able to master Emission. Killua asks Biscuit to give him a few hints, but she states that she can't, since everyone has different ways of controlling their Nen. Knowing that this wasn't going to work, Killua tells Gon to give up. Gon points out that they still had five days left, but Biscuit states that they had already formed a strategy. Besides, it was doubtful that Gon could master it even if he was provided five more days. After Gon agrees, Killua and Biscuit share their strategy with him.

Tsezguerra's team is out of Accompany and they start using a Return instead. Seeing this, Genthru states that they are finally on their last straws and contacts Sub and Bara. His teammates state that no one had bought cards from the store, as the news of their ambushing had already spread. Meanwhile, Tsezguerra's group is already out of cards, and they only have three copies of Leave left. They devise their plan of action and leave the game. But when they reach, Battera's mansion, they find it deserted, albeit of one Sabazushi. To his shock, Sabazushi informs the trio that every security guard had already received his paycheck and termination fees.

Angered and confused, Tsezguerra personally goes and bangs on the door of Battera's room, demanding him for the reason. Battera doesn't open the door, but replies that it didn't matter anymore. When Tsezguerra points out the hardships each player had gone through, he replies that he would tell his lawyers to give the paychecks as promised. He then requests Tsezguerra to leave him.

When Tsezguerra returns to his team, he starts to inform them on his conversation with his employer. But before he could start, the Bomb Devils arrive.
