The Choice of Three Cards (3 枚の選択, San Mai no Sentaku) is the 184th chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.

SummaryEdit

List leads Gon to a very messy room, and he is greeted by a very shabby Dwun. Dwun congratulates Gon on his victory and gives him the Ruler's Blessing. And before Gon could ask him anything, he informs him that he didn't know anything on the whereabouts of Ging. Gon replies that he had already guessed as much. Dwun then gives him a wooden box, which had three slots in it. He explains that Gon could leave Greed Island with three different cards.

List then reveals to Gon how Ging decided on the name 'Greed Island' for the game. Ging had taken the first letter from his name and the names of the nine people who had helped him create the game and arranged it, and thus it formed 'Greed Island'. G was from Ging, R from Razor, the two Es from Eeta and Elena, the twins who sat at the entrance and the exit of the game, D for Dwun, L for list, etc.

Dwun then angrily informs Gon that his name was actually spelt as 'Wdwune', but when Ging found out, he officially changed it within a few minutes. But Dwun then himself states that his life changed for better after getting his spelling changed.

After his visit to the two Game Masters, there is a celebration in the Island and everyone celebrates the trio's victory.

That night Gon, Killua and Biscuit decide on what cards they should take with them. Biscuit chooses Blue Planet because she was attracted to the gem, but Killua was not sure. Gon points out to Killua which card he planned to take and the boy replies that it was a good idea but states that that alone was no good. He then points out to another card that they should take so that Gon's choice would be useful. This all takes place while Biscuit is not able to see the contents of the Binder, and she punches the boy, demanding to be informed of their plan.
