The Night Before the Showdown (決戦前夜, Kekken Zen'ya) is the 26th chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Synopsis
Tonpa is tied to a wooden pole by Kurapika and Leorio. They take Tonpa and his accomplice's plates away from them and also retrieve Leorio's stolen plate. Leorio thanks Kurapika for saving him, but the latter remarks he did not strike earlier because he wanted to see if Leorio was a worthy teammate. With their newly earned plates, Kurapika is set at 6 points, and they proceed to hunt down Leorio's prey.
In a different location, Killua notices he has been followed since day one, and asks this person to reveal himself. Meanwhile, Hisoka asks whoever is watching him to reveal himself. Gon thinks he has been caught, but another person named Goz approaches and attacks Hisoka. However, Hisoka notices that Goz is already fatally wounded, so he does not bother fighting back. Gon anxiously waits for an opportunity to take Hisoka's plate. Suddenly, a group of pins come flying towards Goz and kills him instantly. It was shot by Gittarackur, the man with pins all over his face. The man unpins his face and takes on a new appearance. He gives Hisoka one of his spare plates. Hisoka decides that it's time to begin the hunt. Gon follows closely.
