Chap 315 - Welfin and Bloster parting ways

Welfin and Bloster parting ways

Bloster and Welfin have a final chat before they go their separate ways. Bloster has decided to stay in NGL, feeling like it's his home and unable to remember Gyro. Welfin respects his choice, and the two agree that it's probably safer than most other places, especially given how Bloster looks. Welfin asks about Shidore, and Bloster is sure she remembers her previous life, just as Welfin and Hina do, and adds that he can just tell which ones remember. He guesses that she doesn't speak much because she's most likely a small child. Hina ruins the moment by calling out to Welfin, wanting to leave in a big caravan with Bizeff driving. As Bloster says his goodbye and thinks the two won't see each other again, Welfin tells him one of Gyro's sayings: "Don't die until you're dead." With Bloster still unable to remember Gyro, the two Ants go their separate ways. Bloster then turns to Shidore and asks if she's ready to go.

In the caravan, Welfin and Hina are in good spirits and ready to find Gyro. Welfin asks Bizeff if they can make it out safely, and the latter believed so, but now that he's banished, says Meteor City will be the only place they can go. Welfin tries to cheer him up, guessing that Gyro probably went the same way and hoping that he's already rebuilding to start his own country. Welfin attributes his positivity to having survived insurmountable odds twice, and proudly adds that he stopped the King, saying he fears nothing anymore. Bizeff's mood improves and he decides to enjoy life while he can, with Welfin chiming in with a variant of Gyro's aforementioned saying.

Chap 315 - Reina recognized by her mother

Reina recognized by her mother

Bloster and Shidore make it to the village the latter was looking for, and immediately the villagers run for cover after seeing the two Ants. Bloster convinces them they won't hurt them, and one of the villagers cautiously approaches, still wary of the two. Bloster recognizes their concern and asks them to listen to their story. In one of the village huts, a gaunt woman sits in mourning by a shrine. Shidore trembles by the doorway, cowering to the side as the woman sees her. The woman's eyes light up and she calls out, "Reina?!" Her mother races out and tearfully embraced her. Shidore begins to cry as well, wondering how she could tell it was her, and Haruna knew that she was her baby, rejoicing that she's back home.

Still in tears, Shidore recounts Kurt bravely trying to protect her, and how scared she was then. Her mother reassures her that they both tried hard, and apologizes for not being able to protect her and Kurt. The other villagers happily approach and know the two must be hungry. An old woman asks Bloster to join them all for bringing Reina back, but he politely declines. He walks off in frustration, revealing that he only did this because Ikalgo spared his life. Shidore suddenly appears behind him, holding one of his claws and insisting he stay and eat with them. He begins to cry and becomes confused by the emotion.

Chap 315 - The Hunter Association arriving at the palace

The Hunter Association arriving at the palace

Airships from the Hunter Association begin to descend from the sky over the palace. News reports have finally come out that hundreds of thousands of people have died due to a genocidal campaign, blamed on Ming Jol-ik, whose body was found in the rubble. They speculate that he planned to use a Rose in a murder-suicide plot. The reporter also comments on Bizeff, whose whereabouts are unknown, and mentions possible sources that a military takeover was involved. With mass graves also mentioned, she ends the report by saying that further investigation into NGL and the surrounding countries is all but inevitable given the governments' lack of response.

On an unknown farm, the real Ming Jol-ik sits reading a book, reciting an excerpt from a book titled, "This Creature Called Man." It's stated that he has been living a simple life for 30 years.

A video from Netero is released the same day, announcing that he is resigning as the Association's Chairman and including how his successor will be chosen. However, because it was overshadowed by more eye-catching news, only a few realized that the message signified Netero's death.
