Kastro (カストロ, Kasutoro) is the 52nd chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.

Synopsis[]

Finding Gon doing a handstand in his room, Killua asks if he's already okay. Gon jumps around energetically and confirms that he's completely healed, with Killua left in disbelief that his four-month injury healed in only a month. After playfully asking what Gon is made of, Killua shows him two tickets for Hisoka's match, explaining that he was able to get them since they're on the 200th floor (although he still had to pay for them). He adds that the match is so popular that there are even ticket scalpers, who revealed that Hisoka has fought 11 matches so far and won eight of them. Killua also reveals that Hisoka's six knockouts all resulted in death and that his three losses were all default since he didn't show up for them. He stresses that Hisoka has never lost and only had four points scored against him (one knockdown and three clean hits).

Chap 52 - Killua revealing two tickets for Hisoka's match

Killua revealing two tickets for Hisoka's match

While Gon says that it's intimidating, Killua sees that he has an excited look on his face. He then tells Gon that Hisoka is fighting a man named Kastro, who has taken three of the four points from Hisoka and is the only one to knock him down. He says that it will be a showdown and explains that the two mutually agreed to the fight date. As Killua is eager to analyze Hisoka's skills and possibly see him get knocked down, Gon worries about his promise to Wing.

Although Killua is confident that it won't count since they're only watching the match, Wing appears right behind them and explains that watching counts as studying Nen, ordering Gon to focus on improving for one more month. With the two left startled, Gon understands and Killua wonders if he was stalking them. After Wing walks away, he is able to tell from their aura that they have been performing "Ten" every day, describing it as a great but calm river. As his aura is seen around him, Wing worries that he's the one losing his calm.

Chap 52 - Gon keeping himself from watching Hisoka's match

Killua tells Gon that they can tape the match after he sees it by himself. He also points out that one ticket cost him Jenny Symbol 2011150,000, which could buy a thousand chocolate robots. After internally pointing out that Killua is a billionaire and heading back to his room, Gon turns off the television and looks at the string around his finger. He tries to focus while closing his eyes, but his arm begins to shake with excitement, forcing him to stop it with his other hand as a look of determination appears on his face.

Inside the arena, the announcer points out that the stadium is already full an hour before the match. After introducing Hisoka, she announces that Kastro has won nine times in a row after losing to Hisoka, leaving him one win away from challenging a Floor Master. As Killua watches his interview and says that he thought he would be a gorilla, the charming Kastro tells the interviewer that he wouldn't fight if he thought he didn't have a chance, promising to show that he has improved in the past two years.

Chap 52 - Kastro suddenly appearing behind Killua

Kastro suddenly appearing behind Killua

Eager to see if Kastro is as confident as he appears, Killua distracts a Heavens Arena official and makes his way to Kastro's room. He sees him sitting in a chair and moves closer to open the door even more, but Kastro suddenly appears behind him and asks if he needs any help. Killua is left stunned and tells himself that Kastro was just sitting in the now empty chair. He wonders if Kastro opened the door and somehow slipped by him, but assures himself that it's impossible since he only looked away from the door after Kastro talked to him. Killua then pretends to want an autograph, and Kastro calls him by name, saying that he knows all his rivals on the 200th floor and wondering where Gon is. Killua guesses that Kastro knows everything and explains that he just wanted to see him in person.

After Killua calls him impressive, Kastro thanks him and praises his Zetsu, adding that he should have started using it before he arrived on the floor. He confirms that he was tracking him right when he left the elevator, and Killua wonders how he was able to do it, but Kastro refuses to answer since the two may fight one day. Killua assures him that he doesn't plan to fight there anymore, but Kastro replies that his aura says otherwise. He then laughs and says that he was joking, explaining that he will show him the answer during the match. Kastro asks about the autograph before leaving, but Killua says that he forgot to bring something for him to sign. Confident that Killua will make it, Kastro then says that he will be waiting at Battle Olympia, but after Kastro closes the door, Killua internally repeats that he isn't going to fight.

52 - Kastro hits Hisoka

Kastro somehow striking Hisoka

With the match about to start, Kastro thanks Hisoka and says that he never would have become so strong without his initiation. As Hisoka wonders who became strong, Kastro reveals that he never once tried his hardest in his past nine matches, all of which were warm-ups to defeat him. After the referee begins the match, Kastro immediately leaps forward and throws a strike with his right arm. Hisoka appears to duck below it at first, but Kastro's strike makes contact and sends Hisoka back, with the referee declaring a clean hit. Hisoka is left wondering how the strike hit him, and Kastro sternly tells him to get serious.
