Elena (エレナ, Erena) is one of the game masters and creators of the game Greed Island. She is Eeta's twin sister.

Background

Elena is in charge of players leaving the game using the spell card "Leave" and players who complete the game.

Plot

Greed Island arc

Elena first appears when Killua leaves Greed Island to take the 288th Hunter Examination. She greets Killua and asks him if he's leaving the game and if so, to tell her where he'd like to be transported too and that there's 50 locations he can choose from.[1] Killua decides he'd like to be transported to the one in Dolle Harbor so before sending him to his destination, Elena explains to Killua that once he leaves Greed Island that all of the cards in his free slots will disappear to which Killua is alright with. So without further adieu Elena transports Killua to his desired location, but not before saying, "Enjoy your return to the real world and hope to see him again soon."[1]

Elena saying goodbye

Elena saying goodbye to Gon

It's later revealed by List that the name of the game Greed Island is derived from the first letter of all of the G.I. Game Masters, Elena and her twin sister Eeta make the two Es in Greed. Elena appears again when Gon is ready to leave the game. Elena asks Gon to choose what 3 cards he wants to store in his binder to take with him to the real world.[2] Elena confirms that Gon wants to take the three cards Paladin's Necklace (G.I card), Blue Planet (G.I card), and Patch of Shore (G.I card) and after registering those 3 items she gives back Gon's ring and praises him. Before leaving the game Gon asks Elena if she happens to be "Eeto-san" to which she is glad that Gon remembers her and then Gon transport out of the game.[2]

A while after Elena transports Gon out of the game she wonders if this really was the right thing to do and then remembers a conversation she had with Gon's father Ging. She says to Ging that what he wants can be done, but why do it. Ging replies with if Gon uses a Magnetic Force (G.I card) then he wouldn't mind seeing him, but if Gon doesn't have the guts to come alone the he doesn't want to see him.[2] When Elena asked Ging why is it cowardly if Gon was to bring a friend, but Ging tells to just do it. Elena then asks Ging if it's because he's shy in crowds to which Ging yells that she's too nosy and to just do it. Back in the present Elena comments on how Ging gets embarrassed in odd situations and how he's so paranoid, she also feels sorry for Gon.[2]

Abilities & Powers

Elena's Nen ability may relate to operating Greed Island or the Game Cards. If Gon used a "Accompany (G.I card)" on "Nigg" she would send him to Kite, while if he used a "Magnetic Force (G.I card)" he would have been sent, by her, to Ging.
