Kamakiri is one of the Heavens Arena's Floor Masters. He only appears in Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission.[1]

Kamakiri's Battle Olympia magazine page

Kamakiri is a tall man with a broad chest and shoulders, and long, wavy blond hair framing his thin, squarish face. His clothing seems to pay homage to the iconic depiction of Jack the Ripper: a long, dark gray coat, the same color as his top hat, with a gray belt, light gray pants, and high burgundy boots. [1]

His kama are plain with wooden handles and curved metal blades. He is most often shown yielding them with the handles tucked beneath his long coat sleeves, making it appear as though the blades are his hands like a praying mantis. [1]

Plot[]

The Last Mission[]

Kamakiri is first seen in Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission entering the arena at Heavens Arena with the other Floor Masters at the start of the Battle Olympia. He is seen walking in beside Amoeba. [1]

Later on, while the Floor Masters are preparing for their upcoming fights in a training room, Kamakiri is seen doing squats while holding his kama over his shoulders. Jed enters the training room and knocks out all of the Floor Masters in order to inject them with his blood and put them under the control of On. [1]

When Gon and Killua later get trapped in a room with Kamakiri and eight of the other Floor Masters, Kamakiri attacks Killua by lunging at him and swiping with his blades. He never manages to land a hit on Killua, though, before Killua knocks him out with his yoyo. Even after being knocked down, however, the Floor Masters all get back up and follow after Gon and Killua in a trance-like state, until the two boys escape and leave the Floor Masters behind. [1]

Not much is known about Kamakiri's abilities, but the fact that he was a Floor Master is proof enough of his power and proficiency in Nen. Still, he was defeated single-handedly by Jed. He uses a pair of gama (kama) to fight.

Magazine Finishers[]

  • Kama Thrower (Kama Nage): Kamakiri hurls his kama at the opponent.
  • Kamakiri ("Kama Cut" or "Praying Mantis"): A stance or an attack that Kamakiri performs while wielding his kama.

Trivia[]
