Chap 180 - Genthru slipping and avoiding Gon's attack

Genthru slipping and avoiding Gon's attack

Genthru grabs Gon's wrists and uses Little Flower to detonate an explosion on both of them, but he suddenly stumbles back, and his vision becomes blurred. He notices blood on the ground and wonders if it's his, panicking and asking himself if he was attacked. He looks up at Gon, who begins charging up a Rock as the smoke clears. Genthru is taken aback by the spike in aura and tries to move his legs to get out of the way. Genthru luckily trips and falls as Gon throws his punch to avoid the strike. He realizes his luck and wonders how things happened the way they did. He hears Gon struggling and sees that he sacrificed both arms, his right severely damaged around the wrist and his left completely missing below the wrist.

Bleeding from his mouth, Genthru rises to his feet and realizes that Gon didn't use any aura on his left arm and only used 30% on his right so he could put the remaining 70% in his foot to kick him in the jaw. He tells himself that Gon exploited the fact that his body was defenseless since he had to set off two explosions and protect both his hands, but he can't believe that someone was crazy enough to try it.

Chap 180 - Gon eager to continue the fight even after damaging both his arms

Gon eager to continue the fight even after damaging both his arms

Gon tells himself that he got Genthru good, grimacing from the pain in his right wrist, but clenches his fist and says that he can still move it. He begins to chuckle and says aloud that it's enough, with Genthru asking himself if the boy is giving up. He hopes that Gon has satisfied his pride, but Gon tells him that they are at the good part as he prepares to continue the fight and orders Genthru to continue. Genthru totters back and realizes how crazy Gon is, but Gon suddenly opens his book and takes out a single card.

Genthru assures himself that they checked all their cards with "Clairvoyance" and that the six "Clone" cards don't matter now. The card reverts to another in Gon's hand, and Genthru realizes that the Paladin's Necklace is involved in his plan. Gon gives him one last chance to surrender, warning him that he could die if he doesn't. Genthru first says to himself that Gon is bluffing, but he realizes that he can seize his chance since Gon's book won't close until he says "book" again. He plans to crush his throat, knock him unconscious, and then take all his cards.

Gon adamant about defeating Genthru

To Gon's surprise, Genthru opens his book and seems to admit defeat, saying that he can't make Gon surrender. He first tells Gon to take his cards, but asks to let him keep a particular one, pointing to it in his book. As Gon moves in closer to look, Genthru quickly jabs Gon's throat and causes him to cough up blood, then striking him in the back of his neck. He realizes that Gon protected his neck, but remains confident since Gon can no longer say "book" or "gain" with his damaged throat. Gon, however, says to himself that Genthru made a big mistake and crossed the line, adding that the one minute is up. The card Gon had taken out of his book transforms back into the item, a glass container full of liquid, and Gon punches it to cover Genthru in the substance. Genthru immediately recognizes the smell of gasoline, and after grimacing in pain, Gon tells Genthru that he can no longer use Little Flower, angrily swearing that he will kick his ass.
