Like You Mean It ((ほん)()()()()()()()()(), Honki) is the 62nd chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.

Synopsis[]

After Gon punches Hisoka in the face with a strong right and the referee declares a critical hit worth two points, the audience roars with applause, and the announcer notes that Gon now has the lead. As she adds that the strike didn't seem to injure Hisoka very much and wonders whether it should have been counted as a critical hit, a mysterious man suddenly appears beside her and says that scoring varies among the judges, with some prioritizing the amount of damage and others strategy or technique. He explains that the judge recognized Gon's use of the stone tile as a good strategy, and the announcer understands his point, also wondering who he is.

Chap 62 - Gon returning Hisoka's badge

Gon returning Hisoka's badge

As the crowd continues to cheer, Gon is proud that he finally landed a punch on Hisoka, who gives a slight smirk and begins to slowly walk toward him. The announcer notes Hisoka's expression and points out that it's the first time he has moved since the match started. Gon walks forward as well and pulls out Hisoka's #44 badge from the 287th Hunter Exam, holding it out for him to take. Once Hisoka does so, the two stare at each other before quickly moving back. With the announcer left confused, Hisoka asks how much he has learned about Nen, and Gon replies that he knows the basics. Hisoka guesses that he's an Enhancer, and Gon wonders how he knew. Hisoka chuckles in reply and says that he shouldn't admit it, with Gon angrily asking him how he could tell.

Hisoka reveals that he uses his own personality analysis based on aura type and says that while it isn't science, it's similar to profiles based on blood type. He explains that Enhancers are simple and purposeful, with both Killua and Wing noting that Hisoka is right. Hisoka then reveals that he is a Transmuter and describes himself as mischievous and deceitful, which Gon and Killua both agree is true. He tells Gon that they could be great friends since opposites attract, but warns him that Transmuters can be capricious when it comes to what they value. Gon readies himself to fight, and Zushi wishes that Hisoka would say something about Manipulators.

Chap 62 - Hisoka going on the offensive

Hisoka going on the offensive

As his aura swells around him and he tells Gon not to disappoint him, Hisoka suddenly leaps toward Gon with his right fist clenched and strikes him in the face with his left elbow. The crowd is left stunned, and Hisoka quickly runs behind the falling Gon and strikes him in the back before he can even recover, with Killua realizing how fast he is. As Gon is knocked forward and tries his best to recover, Hisoka leaps toward him yet again. Gon then barely evades a strong kick from Hisoka that ends up sending a stone tile flying into the crowd. With everyone left shocked, Hisoka leaps into the air and attempts to land on Gon, who barely dodges his attack again. However, Hisoka uses the momentum to close in on Gon and strike him in the back with his fists held together.

After Gon endures the hit and leaps away, the two stand several feet apart and the referee declares a critical hit for Hisoka. The announcer is left in disbelief at the speed of the fight and says that she can barely follow Hisoka's attacks. Gon hesitates and begins to circle Hisoka, who wonders what's wrong and tells him to take the initiative. Sticking out his tongue and replying that he's thinking, Gon realizes how fast Hisoka is and tells himself that while he can follow him with his eyes, his legs can't react quickly enough. Hisoka then holds up his finger and tells Gon that he will have to force him to move.

Hisoka using Bungee Gum on Gon

With Gon left confused, Killua yells out for Gon to use Gyo. Once he does so, Gon sees that Hisoka has attached a string of aura to his cheek, and after Hisoka asks him what's about to happen, he pulls Gon toward himself and winds up for a strong punch. With Gon left helpless as the announcer continues to commentate, Hisoka slams Gon down with the strike and reveals that his ability is called Bungee Gum. He explains that he can attach and remove it at will, confidently telling Gon that he is unable to escape.
